I know, your thinking, “ what’s the big deal about an Impala?” Well, in Okinawa it’s sort of big to see one.
I’m not fond of the blacked out ‘Impala SS’ lettering, but the exhaust tips coming out the side is interesting:
I didn’t get a shot of the steering wheel, but it was a racing wheel with center buttons that in my opinion didn’t fit the aesthetic of the car.
Front shot of the car isn’t good (there was a car waiting for a parking spot where I needed to stand for a decent shot of the front.):

I’d totally rock that. The only change would be lighter tint.

I always thought body colored side badges were part of the package.
The wheels and that exhaust are questionable enhancements (?).

A Marine probably sold it there. My friends dad was the head MP there. I was never in that part of Japan.

I don’t know about the body colored badges being part of the package, but they make it look like there are issues with the paint until you realize what they are.

Yup, as was mentioned before, the lettering being body color is just how GM did it with this model.
Not crazy about the exhaust. I know I don’t care for the flare at the end of the pipe. I think it was better in the stock location.
I can tell you that this is a 95-96 car. The 94's had the mirrors on the door, as opposed to the window as in this one. If it had a column mounted shifter it was a 95. If it was a floor mounted shifter, it was 96.

Letters are supposed to be black on the Impala. That side exit exhaust is not where it’s supposed to live, however.

Also (at least on the caprice models) the back window ends in a triangle instead of an arch on the 94s, but i think the impala’s had a filler plate.
